There is nothing quite like good rugby. There will be rugby in the new earth... or something better(!). Wasn't able to watch it on Saturday as was working 07:40 - 23:30, but even the BBC website highlights are thrilling. Beautiful.
And the not so beautiful - Paul O'Connell introduces himself to some of the England team during the match:
But D'Arcy and Horgan were walking on air...

There is no good rugby. A more vicious, violent, vandalistic, boorish, barbarous, brutal, uncouth, uncivilised, unchristian 'sport' could not be invented.
Correction, it was called throwing Christians to the lions, and was rightly outlawed some time ago.
Hospitals throughout the land are filled with the results of this 'sweet' pastime. Christians have no call to be taking part in something so likely to knock them out of the Lord's service for life. (No, I'm not saying that you can't serve God from a wheelchair or a hospital bed, though it's tricky from a coffin!)
Etrangere, you are not the daughter of your mama. :(
Ach no, they actually get penalised for being brutal, unlike some sports. Travelling by car is more likely to knock you out of the Lord's service for life than playing rugby is. And anyway, what sport could we have followed, as non-sectarian Norn Irish protestants? Wearing a football shirt in N.I. is more likely to get you knocked out of the Lord's service for life than playing rugby is. At least with 6 nations rugby we know which country we're supposed to be supporting.
Huh!
Having just sustained injury in participating in a more skillful sport known as hockey, I can't really comment on the brutality of anything, but merely gloat (sorry did that come out?!), i mean comiserate with the English over a sorry loss. Maybe next year eh? And maybe relying on one being in every situation isn't always correct, when watching ruggerby anyway!
What a great game for the men in green. I loved it, and I'm Welsh. Well, actually, that was part of the reason why I loved it ;-)
Well, I loved it and I'm English. Ireland were fantastic, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable game. Brilliant!
The only team I hate losing against is Australia!!! If Ireland, Wales etc. play brilliantly against a dismal England, then may the best team win.
It is a rather strange thing that ... a christian girl who actually will dig rugby ... but you ain'y seen rugby unless you 've been in SA!
in the end, God will make things perfect, that means, that He will make that ball round again, then we'll finally have only soccer!
grace and peace
There will be something greater in the new earth. It's called (American) Football.
